The Turkish Competition Board (the “Board”) has concluded its investigation into Coca-Cola (“CCSD”) through commitments requiring CCSD, in particular, to open 35% of the space in its coolers located at traditional trade and on-premise consumption sales points to competing products, while also revising its exclusivity, discount, incentive and investment-support practices.

The Board has conditionally approved Uber Technologies Inc.’s acquisition of Getir’s online food delivery and quick commerce businesses, subject to commitments including a USD 500 million investment in Türkiye aimed at supporting high-skilled employment, strengthening local engineering capabilities and contributing to the country’s digital infrastructure.

The Austrian Federal Competition Authority has announced that the Austrian Cartel Court imposed a fine of EUR 1.15 million on Tönnies Unternehmensbeteiligungen GmbH for implementing its acquisition of Ritzenhoff AG prior to obtaining merger clearance.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission of Ireland has announced that Elis S.A. withdrew its proposed acquisition of C.L. Laundry Services following an in-depth investigation and the rejection of remedies that were deemed insufficient to address concerns relating to prices, quality and innovation.
The Italian Competition Authority has launched an investigation into Apple under the Digital Markets Act, over concerns that third-party cloud service providers may not enjoy interoperability with Apple’s iOS and iPadOS operating systems on terms equivalent to those available to Apple’s iCloud service.

Rekabet Kurulu (“Kurul“), Coca-Cola (“CCSD“) hakkında yürüttüğü soruşturmayı, başta geleneksel kanal ile yerinde tüketim kanalındaki satış noktalarında bulunan CCSD soğutucularının %35’inin rakip ürünlerin erişimine açılmasını, bunun yanı sıra münhasırlık, indirim, prim ve yatırım desteği uygulamalarının yeniden düzenlenmesini öngören taahhütler doğrultusunda sonlandırdı.
