AŞ, Teva Pharmaceuticals Europe B.V. and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. to determine whether it abused its dominant position by restricting competition from generic medicines. The investigation will examine allegations that TEVA strategically used divisional patent applications and patent withdrawal practices following the expiry of the basic patent protection period, while also creating a misleading impression before healthcare authorities regarding the efficacy and safety of competing products, thereby hindering market entry by generic competitors.
