The Turkish Competition Board has launched an investigation into Spotify to assess potential discrimination against rightsholders in playlists and algorithms, as well as possible predatory pricing practices in Türkiye’s online music streaming market.
The Turkish Competition Board concluded its investigation into the white meat sector, imposing a total of TRY 3.7 billion in fines on several companies for exchanging competitively sensitive information, while also introducing behavioral measures requiring producers to apply updated sales prices immediately once announced to buyers (including resellers) and prohibiting the use of future price lists.

The European Commission has launched an investigation into SAP’s practices in the aftermarket for maintenance & support of on-premise ERP software, flagging concerns around bundling/tying, limitations on ending support for unused licenses, systematic extensions of initial license terms limiting termination, and back-fees/reinstallation charges that may restrict third-party competition and impose unfair conditions on customers.
The Italian Competition Authority fined Eni, Esso, Ip, Q8, Saras and Tamoil, the most important oil operators in Italy, a total of over €936 million for coordinating between 2020 and 2023 to set the value of the bio component factored into fuel prices through information exchanges and parallel price increases.
The French Competition Authority (Autorité de la concurrence) unconditionally cleared Lidl’s acquisition of 19 Auchan Supermarché stores and 8 service stations, finding it would not harm local competition or consumer choice, as Lidl will hold limited market shares in all the catchment areas concerned and consumers will continue to have access to sufficient competitive alternatives.
