On 4 March 2026, the Turkish Competition Authority (“TCA”) published its 2025 Annual Report, which provides insight into the TCA’s activities throughout the past year, including enforcement decisions, merger control, and regulatory developments.
2025 was a landmark year for competition enforcement in Türkiye: administrative fines reached an all-time high of approximately TRY 12.1 billion, dawn raid activity hit a five-year record, and the TCA closed a record number of cases. The year also saw heightened scrutiny of M&A activity in digital and platform markets, as well as a continued enforcement focus on the food industry and labor market practices.
