Competition Law 101
Beyza Timur, spoke at the workshop titled “Competition Law 101 – Competition Law Workshops No. 1”

Our Senior Associate, Beyza Timur, spoke at the workshop titled “Competition Law 101 – Competition Law Workshops No. 1”, organised by the Istanbul Bar Association’s Consumer Rights and Competition Law Centre on December 21, 2025.
During the workshop, Beyza addressed key topics in merger and acquisition processes, including:
· the limits of sharing competitively sensitive information,
· notification and standstill obligations,
· risks of early implementation (gun-jumping), and
· factual, legal, and control changes,
drawing on practical case examples.
These topics also closely relate to her recent academic work, where she examined gun-jumping and information exchange in pre-merger processes under Turkish competition law – an area where theory and practice intersect in particularly meaningful ways.
We are proud to see our team contributing to the competition law community through both academic and practical engagement.
