Dr. Bülent Gökdemir serves as Chief Economist / Of Counsel at CoPartners, drawing on more than 25 years of experience at the Turkish Competition Authority, where he worked as a Chief Competition Expert across case-handling and economic analysis departments. His deep expertise lies in combining legal and economic perspectives to address complex competition and regulatory issues.
In addition to his public service, Dr. Gökdemir has taken on leadership roles at the United Nations Development Programme as Project Manager and at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye as Group Advisor. He has also been active in academia, teaching courses on competition, regulation, and the digital economy at Middle East Technical University.
He has collaborated with leading business associations and think tanks, including TÜSİAD, TOBB, and TEPAV, on projects shaping economic and regulatory policy, and has authored numerous publications on competition law, economics, and the digital economy.
Alongside his role at CoPartners, Dr. Gökdemir is the founder of VALIS Consulting, where he advises national and international companies on competition and regulation, offering a unique perspective grounded in both economics and law.
