The Turkish Competition Authority has announced that two investigations have reached the oral hearing stage. The oral hearing in the investigation concerning certain undertakings active in the hybrid industrial gherkin seed market and the hybrid vegetable and fruit seed markets will be held on 10 March 2026 at 12:00. In addition, the oral hearing in the investigation concerning Arkoz Madencilik, Limak Çimento and Yurt Çimento will take place on 3 March 2026 at 12:00.

The European Commission has closed its investigation into Edwards Lifesciences, a producer of medical devices for cardiovascular applications, after the company withdrew its “Global Unilateral Pro-Innovation (Anti-Copycatting) Policy”, which had raised concerns about potentially limiting physicians’ participation in competitors’ clinical and scientific activities.
The European Commission has opened a formal investigation into Shein under the Digital Services Act over concerns about addictive design features, lack of transparency in its recommender systems, and the potential sale of illegal products, including content that could constitute child sexual abuse material.
The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has published an interim report, as part of its Phase II investigation on Getty Images Holdings, Inc.’s proposed acquisition of Shutterstock, Inc., provisionally finding that the proposed transaction could substantially lessen competition in the UK supply of editorial content, while not expecting a substantial lessening of competition in the global supply of stock content, and is inviting comments before making a final decision and considering remedies.
