The Turkish Competition Board found that the on-site inspection conducted at İstanbul Yeminli Mali Müşavirler Odası within the scope of the investigation into the accounting and independent auditing services sector complied with Law No. 4054, rejected the claims concerning the manner in which the inspection was conducted and its alleged unconstitutionality, and concluded that no administrative action was required in relation to the request for the return and deletion of copies obtained from personal mobile devices.

The European Commission conditionally approved Paramount Skydance Corporation’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery under the EU Merger Regulation, subject to commitments including the termination of Paramount’s stake in United International Pictures in the EEA within 13 months of closing and restrictions on certain theatrical film co-distribution arrangements for a period of ten years, to address competition concerns in the theatrical distribution of films.
The European Commission sent Statements of Objections to several construction chemicals manufacturers and three national trade associations in France, Germany and Spain over concerns that they coordinated future price increases for chemicals used in cement, concrete and mortar between 2021 and 2022, including through press releases prepared within the associations to justify increases driven by rising raw material costs.
The European Commission opened an in-depth investigation into the proposed merger between Saipem and Subsea7 over concerns that the transaction could reduce competition in certain offshore engineering and construction services markets, particularly the highly concentrated market for subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) services, where the parties are two of the three leading suppliers and compete closely for complex projects.

Rekabet Kurulu, mali müşavirlik ve bağımsız denetim hizmetleri sektöründe yürütülen soruşturma kapsamında İstanbul Yeminli Mali Müşavirler Odası’nda gerçekleştirilen yerinde incelemenin 4054 sayılı Kanun’a uygun olduğuna, incelemenin icra ediliş usulü ile Anayasa’ya aykırı olduğu yönündeki iddiaların kabul edilebilir nitelikte bulunmadığına ve kişisel mobil cihazlardan alınan kopyaların iadesi ile silinmesi talebi hakkında idari işlem tesis edilmesine gerek olmadığına karar verdi.
